Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekçi attended the Meeting of G20 Trade Ministers in Australia. Ministers of Trade from Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, the UK,  and New Zealand also attended the meeting. Minister Zeybekçi made three speeches during the meeting on behalf of Turkey. Zeybekçi stated that trade is the key to grow global revenues, and that Turkey will increase its share in world trade over 1.5%. Noting that the Turkish economy has grown by 6 percent in the last 18 quarters and by 4.3 percent in the first quarter of 2014, Zeybekci added that Turkey is one of the fastest growing economies amongst G20 countries. Zeybekci also reminded Turkey’s Presidency of G20 in 2015 and noted that the Trade Ministers to the next G20 meeting to be held in Turkey . Turkey will be the third country to host the Meeting of G20 Trade Ministers after Mexico and Australia.  Zeybekci also attended the Turkish-Australian Business Forum during his visit to Sydney.
